It is, by itself, a problem and an analogy.

Problem : In a crowded or semi-crowded train,

Young person ‘A’ saw feeble old lady enter the train.

Young person ‘A’ offers seat.
Feeble old lady who looks like she can crumble any second with a touch, says “no”.
No matter how he/she gestures with his hand.
2 things might happen then.
1) Young person ‘A’ goes back to his/her seat. And felt embarrassed.
2) Young person ‘A’, having already stood up, is too embarrassed

and continues standing.

Seriously, sometimes, accepting a kindness is the graceful thing to do,
compared to being overly “courteous”, for you might end up, being rude instead.

Siblings

There are so many things you cannot control in life. One prime example is which family you are born into, and (if any) which order you are born in.

Siblings, some do not have any, but the general populace might at least have 1. Be it of the same or opposite gender, junior or elder.

To those who have 1 or more, how do you view them? I hear the occasional ” My brother/sister is such an <insert your favorite profanity>”.

And often, I would go ” Why?”. Is the disdain for each other so strong, is the blemish in the relationship so bad, that such words have to be used? Is h/she really your natural enemy?

My heart tightens up whenever I see, hear people saying that they do not give a flying rat’s ass about their siblings. Some even curse them.

I only have a few things to say about this, and seeing as I am not in the shoes of the individuals, these are just, my thoughts. Accept if you like, dismiss it if you do not.

1) To those who think that their friends are more important than their siblings and family members. Friends, are fleeting. If you are luck,a few, stays around in your life.

If not, you might not even have one real friend. Yet, Family, is forever.

2) To those who hold the title of being an elder or even eldest. Are you even doing anything for your younger siblings? The elder/est is supposed to protect the younger ones.

Any reason or logic behind it? I can’t give you one, but, I believe in doing so, want to, and will.

3) Have you even put in any effort in maintaining the relationship? Or are you just waiting to be served?

Cherish, what you have, when you can, and show it.

For when and if you can’t, yet you want to, and the realization hits you that you can never, it will tear you up so bad, it hurts like !@#$.

We all regret many of our decisions, and go “If only……” umpteen number of times. You would not want to say “If only……” for your family.

Time, is limited, some even more so than the others. Do we humans necessarily need tough love or a pain to learn?

I learned it through pain and fear of the impending arrival. How would you want to learn it?

Perhaps I might start updating more again,  just cause I feel like writing. So, if any of you guys are reading this and any future ( if any ) or previous entries, do try and overlook the bad prose, grammar and my opinions if you do not agree with them. This is my blog after all

Bad hair day/s

Hmmm, I wonder if there is even anyone here even reading this. Well, to be fair, I did not even update it.

Reason : no inspiration ( yeah total BS i know )

Anyways, I would like to touch on the topic of hair. Nope, not on the top of your head. But on the face.

For most males, it is probably a daily, or bi-daily or tri-daily or weekly ritual to shave off the beard, if they have it.

For quite a number, they probably do not shave much as they do not have much to shave, which is kinda good in certain ways( you have lesser rate of shaving accidents comparatively, and this is in no way, a sneer nor undermining your masculinity, though i am rather beardy) BUT, many a times, i see this population of people, who have a few strays on their chin or face, and they actually grow to a considerable length(2-3 cm?).

If you wake up and forget to shave for a day, i’m going to give you the benefit of a doubt. But if i see a few times and everytime the most distinctive thing I see is that glaring strand/s. Please, remove it.

Last I remember, having random ugly strands of facial hair is not the way to attract the other sex, nor the same sex if you swing that way.

Next, anyone(both male and female) reading this. Next time, do an angry scowl in front of the mirror, sorta like Wolverine. And, if you can see hair coming out from your nostrils. Please trim it.

Better yet, If you even see it jutting out from your nasal orifice, without making any kind of weird facial contortions, you should know what to do.

Lastly, if you ever find yourself having a unibrow (this applies to both genders or anywhere in between as well). Please kindly remove the part that is joining them together.

Though it is a tad troublesome, I am very positive that if you posses anyone of a combination of all three of the above and remove these “possessions”, You will be the one gaining.

You wouldn’t want to be remembered by others by those hairs. I know I wouldn’t want to.

*And guys, plucking those hair out, is in no bloody way feminine. It is after all, basic respect to others to look presentable.

Imagination Of The Other Half

Answer : Yeah, I am. I mean, look at me, my head is still attached to my body.

Alright, for those of you who just read that and a four letter word came to your mind, I think so too.
That was my previous response. But seriously, till the time of this post, the answer will be ” Nope, and I’ve never been. ” To those who are questioning my orientation, I am straight, and a four letter word to you for even questioning that.
Just watched a show, and this thought came to me. ” My other half “. My wife.
How do you determine if she is the right one? Then, I imagine me, old and wrinkly with a woman, as old and wrinkly as I am, just sitting together, perhaps in front of a TV, spending time together, doing nothing. And if that image with that particular one lady does not send chills down my spine, and seems to be in fact, normal or even comfortable, She might just be the one. Perhaps, adding some 10-20 kilograms along with the imagination to the both of us.
So, how do people actually know the other one is the one? I wonder……

Seriously?!? OMG!!! (Dragonball Evolution Edition)

Dragonball, this is a manga series that I grew with with. Spawned an anime series and numerous toy lines that is still being produced till this day.

Now, it is being made into a live action movie. Seriously ?!?
Lets take a look at the image of Son goku, the main protagonist of the series.

Then now, the movie version……

So, I guess we are all asking a few questions. Like “what happened to goku? ” Did he like, not eat for a year and lost all the muscle mass? Lets forget the hair cause it’ll be really difficult to recreate in real life. Now, the trailer……( Warning : Please do not blame me if it contains spoilers. As in literally spoiling your day or mood. )

So, Seriously, you gotta make a movie only to tell it it’s gonna be real bad by the sound of it or the poster. If it still does not do the trick, you give us a trailer to bring the point home. I mean, Seriously, the only thing done right is goku’s staff. And the title, Dragonball Evolution. Seriously?!? Did they check up the meaning of evolution???
So, how many “OMG !!!” and “Seriously ?!?” have you guys said out loud(or out loud in your mind?). To the adventurous ones who will want to give the movie a shot when it is released, please bring this along

Ip Man Review ( Pronounced ‘eep mun’ )

First of all, this is a review of a chinese martial arts film based upon the life of a master of the martial art,Wing Chun 詠春. His name : Ip Man 叶问. In no way is Ip Man related to Batman, Spider-man, Iron Man or even the movie Yes Man which happens to have the same release date as Ip Man in Singapore.

Ip Man is played by Donnie Yen. Well, ever since Jet Li said he is not doing any more chinese martial arts film and Fearless is his last(note: chinese martial arts). The list of chinese actors who practiced martial arts narrows down to a a few. Donnie Yen being one of them. Luckily, this movie does not disappoint.

Before anything, lets take a look at the original and real picture of Ip Man.

Alright, there is a difference, but well, it is after all, a movie.

- Fights
The fight scenes in a martial arts film is like the filling in a pie. And I’d have to say that this filling is one of the better ones in a movie. And luckily, this movie did not go with the ” Hero/Lead have to enter the final fight with less than half strength “. One recent example will be Iron Man. Every single fight in the movie is nicely choreographed. I especially enjoyed the Ip Man Vs 10 people scene. There is some limb breaking scenes in the movie, but nothing too over the edge.

- Story and Music
Overall, the story exudes a very strong Chinese spirit throughout the entire movie. The mix of humour in their dialogues fits in nicely into the movie and does not seem out of place. the length is approximately 107 minutes. About 2 hours, not bad for a show that manages to keep me entertained with fights and jokes for this period of time.
Actors portraying the side characters did well by fleshing out the characters pretty nicely. Nothing too forced and none were overshadowed by the lead or overshadows the lead.
The score is nothing extraordinary, but they do fit the movie’s mood pretty well. Nothing to complain about.

Overall, a movie definitely worth watching. If anything, it is definitely a fun 2 hours X 3 for me. A movie experience is supposed to be after all, fun. Yeah, I watched the movie thrice. And I did not fall asleep during the second or third time. Will most probably get the blu-ray release of the movie when it’s out.
To the fellow skeptics of the movie due to it’s title or whatever that is stopping you, try watching the trailer and you’ll probably be turned.
